I'm using SAP BO OLAP Analysis for Excel.
When I connect to SAP BW by Analysis on BOE Server, I have to enter the user/pass of SAP BW. I configured the SSO for BOE and SAP BW, and it's working. By this solution, I have to map each BOE User for each SAP BW user.
Now, I want to use 1 SAP BW user that I can connect to BW from Analysis and I don't need to enter user/pass.
Please give me the solution for this case.

With my understanding, when i run the following code, I should get details regarding the GLAccount Dimension( Row filter) , Time Dimension (Column Filter) and Measure. Is my understanding correct or its totally wrong.

Hi All,
As shown in the below screenshot, I am not getting the toolbox where data source name and cross tab gets displayed because of which I am not able to use repeat members functionality. Repeat members option appears when we select cross tab which appears under the 'by data source' option tool box.
As the toolbox is not appearing below it I am not able to proceed further.
I tried re installing analysis but still facing the same issue. And it not with just 1 workbook. With all the workbooks I am getting the same issue. Version of the analysis is R1.4 -- v1.4.10 SCV3.

In our current BEx Analyzer setup we have some RRI jumps configured in RSBBS to ECC transactions. In the settings of BEx Analyzer we make sure the ''Log on and activate SAP GUI connection" flag is set, so that the transaction is started through the SAP Logon (and not via a web interface if this flag is NOT set).
We're ramping up the roll-out of AO2.1, but i find no such flag in the AO client, and as expected the RRI jump triggers the web page version of the ECC transaction, while we still would like to start the SAP Logon view
Anybody know any solution for this?

We are trying to use this formula method at a client but having some issues. Firstly, it seems to use it on going we need to Covert the using Formula's therefore removing the Crosstab. If we don't do this each time we recalculate/save data/save workbook we look the formula in the cell. This seems strange to me.
Secondly, we have a excel doing all the formula calc's and we only trying to write back to the target Direct update DSO the base key figures. (This is instead of using inverse formula's). When we change a cell in the excel sheet we get a “Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A9C68” error.
Using SAPGUI 7.30 with BW on HANA 7.31. SP7.

Dear all,
The requirement is to lock input-ready cells on a Excel button click. We don't want to use the standard "Lock Cells" button provided in Planning Ribbon.
Button functionality is implemented in VBA Macro, But i am not able to find any information on How to trigget the AFO "Lock Cells" there. An option of Excel Locking is possible, but it only works when we protect the whole worksheet and in our case it is useless.
Any ideas?

I am going through the Analysis office plugins user guide and the EPM Plugin user guides. They both have set of functions. Do analysis for office functions can provide all the functionalities which are given by EPM functions?
All I am trying is to sort out equivalent analysis functions for each EPM functions.

For our endusers we have different (pfcg-) roles.
Now more and more problems appear concerning Analysis for Office.
The authorization object S_RS_AO is included in two single roles.
We have 1 role with the authorization object S_RS_AO and the role contains the menu too.
The second role has more authorization objects and also S_RS_AO, but no menu.
Settings for both S_RS_AO: Activity: Display, Execute
Analysis Client Technical Name: *
Analysis Client Object Type: Excel, Power Point, Analysis Application
Owner: *
The problem is that enusers with this roles can't display/ open AfO workbooks.
My question is: How can I solve this problem? And can one S_RS_AO be deleted so that it doesn't appear twice?
And can I combine the two roles or is the consequence that performance problems appear because I have to integrate the menu in the other role?

We are using Analysis for Office - Is there a way to disable the Infoprovider radio button option in Analysis for Office when a user wants to insert a datasource and comes to the Select Datasource screen? I don't want the users to use the Infoprovider as an option but only to select the queries. Can I manipulate some setting at the config file level to achieve this? Any inputs will be very helpful.

Hi there,
I am trying to create an input query that combines data already loaded in the system and user input.
In columns I will have Transaction Types (opening balance, movement 1 movement 2 movement 3, closing balance)
In the rows I have 0ACCOUNTS.
The idea is that the input sheet will show all jounrals for Opening balance, Input journal ID for movements, and All journals for closing balances.
I'll need to next the transaction type characteristic and journal characteristic, but the challenge is getting the right journal value for each movement characteristic.
The easy answer is to use a structure, but that means that the columns need to be fixed. the list of movements will need to changed based on the what accounts are chosen. This will be define using a variable in the filter of the query.
Is this something that can be done, or do I need to rethink the overall design idea.

a view minutes ago I installed AO 2.3.1 and noticed a strange behavior with some workbooks, created with AO 1.4 and saved on the BO server.
One example:
We have a workbook with 6 datasources in it.
After I have inserted the promts and let the Queries run, there is no result.
Only after pressing "Refresh All" the crosstab of each Query is available.
But when I have done this step one time and save the workbook, the next time it works fine.
But this is not really an option to do it for all the workbooks we have.
Has anyone had the same experience?

I use Analysis for Excel 2.2 SP1 and for 2 days my restricted users start to get below error :
Characteristic XXXX has no master data for YYYY or you do not have authorization (com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.selector.selection.SingleMember-NoMasterdata)
Interestingly it is only in AO, RSRT does not give this message.
In the forum i found a few corrections which are not applying to my setup, My versions are like below
AO : 2.2 SP1 (also tested with SP4, same issue)
BO : Version: 14.1.7.1986
BW : 7.4 SP13
MS Office: 14.0.7172.5000
So i can not use 2092810, 2040915 or 2101188
What do you think?

I finda little strange problem with AOtorefreshthe data after recording data in a template problem, this happens to me in theintegration and production environments, developing me working properly.
I explain:
When we do the action to save the data in a standard template for IBP, the system sends the data to the database but deletes the contents of the cell that had value.
When we close the template and return to open the system retrieves the values that had been sent and displayed correctly in the Excel cells, But sometimes even closing the template and reopen the template data is not fully updated, but if stored properly in the database.

I upgraded versionto versionAO (2.3):
This problem happens with all templates, both standard templates as new templates.
I have the following parameters defined in all templates:
Sometimes even when I record the data and close the template and open it again, closing the AO and restarting the AO, the template does not show all the values stored in the database:
BW:
As you can see in the capture of BW, is an amount for the period (1) 200 € which is not shown in the template AO.
It is very very strange what is happening, any ideas that might be?

Hi - I have a question on Compatibility Mode in AO version 2.2.4. Currently I have to maintain a source Excel file for my Webi, so that I can use that for a publication to be able to email a report. In version 1.4, I am able to change my Excel file (which contains email addresses and users) and then save it back to the BI Launch Pad by changing the format to Analysis Workbook (Compatibility Mode). It saves with an Excel icon (BO/BI Platform 4.1.3.3) This option is not available in AO 2.2. Unless I am missing a setting.... Screenshot below of 1.4:

I am trying to create a warning message while plan data input via SAP BOA. First of all i have created a planning function for some conditions via RSPLAN . And in this FOX planning function, i used the statement " MESSAGE W00x.." for calling the message if the data is not applicable for some conditions.And it works ok on GUI interface.
Afterwards, i have created an input ready query via SAP BOA and used a button and a macro to call this planning sequence(PS_1) lie below :

And it shows the message perfectly on SAP BOA also. But the problem is, after this check, the applicable data must be saved automatically. So i add the this underlined row to the same macro to save plan data :

Dear all,
Due to a migration phase from BEx to Analysis for Office (AFO), an interesting question form Business has arrived, in which the users should save their work (workbooks) on any available platform (in our case was selected NetWeaver).
As an option they have asked that a normal user (not IT) should use the "My Documents" but we arrive to the autorisation point where I have observed that we cannot save anything in the Production system (we only can save on the Quality system).
During the last period I have played with the Authorization Object -> S_RS_AO
Results after using this Object:
1. The first message: "Not authorized to create/delete/change MS document" -> disappeared.
2. Another message appeared after these modifications and you can see it below:
I have played again with the autorisation part since there are some messages when performing Tcode SU53 but the results are not changing. The message it is still the same.
When I perform the transaction SE06 as the message says, I'm able to see that the Namespace '/BIC/' it is set "Not Changeable" and since it is the Production system I'm afraid that if I modify the object, the non IT user can modify any production objects.
Questions to you:
1. Can you please tell me which are the best available options that I can use in order to save objects via AFO on the section My Documents?
2. Which autorisation objects are involved with this action (save or change to My Documents)?
3. There is a necessity to modify that area on BW - Namespace '/BIC/' - to "Changeable" and which are the risks?
Note that we are using Analysis for Office 2.2 SP04.
The symptoms are the same on AFO 14 SP16 and SP17 (where I have test it).

Amount is the key-figure and variance is the calculated key figure. Actual and Budget01 are the versions.
I want the report structure to be
I did this by hiding the columns, change the heading (result to variance) and also by changing the cell style.
But once i change the filter or refresh the data source all the hidden columns become unhidden, and all the other changes also returns to its original state. Kindly advise how to sort this out.
I tried hide totals but it removes the total of all the measures (amount and variance) but i need the total of variance.
Please let me know how to sort this out. Your help is much appreciated

I have a problem with Excel 2016 ( 64 bit) and SAP Analysis 2.2. Just recently we installed both and they are operating on Windows 7 enterprise platform. Every time when Analysis 2.2 is enabled and I close a file in excel, it crashes. To avoid that, I disable the add in and then close. Is there a solution to this? Is it related to a security patch or EMET file?
Please let us know if there is a solution to this?
