From my Bex i am getting the following report with the structure as shown below

I want to change the structure of this report as below (sample) which was made using EPM
How can I Change the structure of the report in Analysis office ? I want to move the description of the GL account from the first row (down the page) after the variance calculation.

I tried to create a local composite provider with BW Workspaces in Analysis for Office. I created a Multiprovider on a cube and build a query with two dimensions in the rows. In the next step I uploaded a flatfile with the same two dimensions into my BW Workspace. This workspace has the Multiprovider as its central provider.
After successfully uploading the local provider I dropped the query in Analysis for Office and tried to add the local provider as new dimensions.
Then an error message pops up: " Data comparision is not possible because CompositeProvider is inconsistent" - "Error during Adding of data".
System: SAP BW on HANA 7.4 SP12
Analysis for Excel Version: 2.2.1.53549
In the BW Workspaces Web Client it is no problem to create the local composite provider with the same datasources as mentioned before. This error just appears in Analysis for Excel.
Any suggestions?

In Analysis for office (Excel) report , values are getting duplicated in the filter window however there are no such duplicate values in the HANA calculation view.
Even when we add that column in the report we do not see the duplicate values.
Analysis office client version is 2.3, SAP BO version 4.1 SP6 Patch 3.
I tried to search for this content on Google and on SCN forum already but did not get any information related to this issue.
Please see below screenshot for more information.
Please let me know if any body has any suggestion on this.

We are having a problem on workbooks with multiple sheets on SAP BO Analysis for Microsoft Office. In our workbooks, there are two worksheets. And in both sheets, there are two different queries designed on different aggreagation levels.
In one sheet, there is also planning sequence running and creating AO pop-up messages. But when we navigate between worksheets, AO pop-up messages doesn’t appear anymore. For example, we open the workbook and in first sheet we enter data , run planning sequence ,save data. And messages work perfectly.
But after we pass to the second sheet and enter data and,save data it shows message in this sheet for one time. Because,when we switch back to the first sheet and enter data or run planning seqeunce, no message is showed. And when messages dissappear once, in second sheet no messages are displayed either.
To summarize steps;
1 – Enter data in first worksheet, run planning sequence, save data : AO Messages are shown
2 – Navigate second worksheet, enter and save data : AO Messages are shown
3- Navigate back to first worksheet, enter data or run planning sequence : AO messages are not visible .
4- Navigate to second sheet , enter and save data : AO messages are not visible .
PS : We are working on AO Analysis 2.3 SP01 Patch 2 (latest patch).

we are planning on updating some client components parallel to a scheduled system upgrade.
As a test Installation we have just updated, amongst other things, SAP Gui from 7.30 to 7.40 and BO Analysis for Office from 1.4 to 2.2. AO is used as a BeX replacement. There is no BO server, so Analysis connects to backend Systems defined in SAPLogon. SSO and SNC are used, too. Excel version is 14.0, 32 bit. SAP Gui configuration files have changed from saplogon.ini (7.30) to SAPUILandscape.xml and SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml (7.40).
Analysis for Office (Excel) worked fine until the update, but since then there is an issue connecting to a backend System. The popup "choose data source" doesn't show any system connection.
Analysing the cause we found a problem looking like AO were not able to use the (new) system configuration xml files in a correct way. Both files are stored in a workdir to which is pointed with environment variable SAPLOGON_LSXML_FILE. SAPUILandscape.xml is (initially) empty and used for user selfdefined connections, e.g. for SAP Business Client. SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml contains all the (predefined) usable system connections, centrally distributed. SAP Gui works fine with that, AO doesn't.
When using NOT SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml and instead only SAPUILandscape.xml WITH system configuration in it, Analysis for Office works as it should. No issues, So we found that AO obviously has a problem utilizing the SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml file.
We have opened an incident on SAP Service Marketplace more than one week ago, no reaction so far...
What can we do? Any ideas? Is it a program error? A configuration issue? Why isn't SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml used by AO?

I have an Access database that contains some VBA code that opens an Analysis 1.4-enabled workbook, to which I pass the results of a query as prompt values. This has worked great up until I installed Analysis 2.2.
Now when I open the Analysis-enabled workbook (with 2.2 installed), I receive a VBA error:
Here is a snippet of the code I use:
Dim xlApp As Excel.Application
Dim xlWB As Excel.Workbook
Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
xlApp.Visible = True
Set xlWB = xlApp.Workbooks.Open("some excel file", , False)
The code fails on Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application").
If Analysis is not set to open with Excel, the code works, but, of course, the workbook is not Analysis-enabled and I cannot refresh my data.
Anyone have any ideas how to get around this?

I have googled quite a bit, and there is a lot of info re: error 429, but I haven't been able to find any solutions.

Basically i have two dates "Document Date" and "Due Date"
I want to see the different in days between the dates.
I inserted a column using the "New Cells"function and inserted the excel function =DatedIF(Cell,Cell,"D") function which works perfectly fine in excel 2016, but when i use it as part of the BO workbook it comes up with NA
Am i doing something wrong?

I have a calculation view in which I'm using a transparent filter.
I've defined the transparent filter in the Aggregation node and in the parent projection node (yellow marked) for multiple columns.
In Lumira and Hana Studio everything works fine. If I'm using the view in Analysis for Office and using on of the columns i've defined a transparent filter for, I get the following error message:
"Caught exception : exception 70034011: Inconsistent calculation model; \$message\$=Inconsistent calculation model;calculationNode (N_0002_PROJ):Attribute AUART defined as transparent filter attribute on child node N_0001_DSRC, but not on parent node N_0002_PROJ (42014)"
That seems like a bug.
Does anyone have a idea for this?

We are in the process of deploying 32 bit SAP Analysis for Office 2.2 SP2 on several client laptops. Some of these laptops run 32 bit Office 365 and some Office 2016. We are aware and have tested that the version of AO 2.2 supports both version of Office.
During deployment we have a few users running 32 bit Office 2016 for whom the AO installer just cannot find the version of Office installed. Please refer the below screenshot
Has anyone encountered anything similar. Would really appreciate any leads. I came across one SDN thread, however, could not find the registry entry in the client's laptop.

Hi All,
I'm working with Analysis Office and have the above mentioned issue.
When I add a crosstab and reformat it, eg. remove a measure from the crosstab, press the "Prompt' button, give a variable value, then the removed measured goes back into the crosstab automatically.
In the components menu, the "set back on opening the workbook" is not ticked.
I encounter this issue in version 2.3 SP1 and SP2 as well.
Do you have any idea, why this happens?

I am using Analysis office for excel v2.1; I have a requirement where some of the list of values in a dimension should be displayed in a hierarchical manner. If the Hierarchy is not defined in back end HANA level, is it possible to create a custom hierarchy in Analysis office?
Note: The Hierarchy option in the tool is disabled at all the time. Will it be enabled only when the Hierarchy is defined at HANA level?

For the majority of users this is working perfectly, but for a very small percentage the install completes and Analysis is added, but EPM is NOT.
Upon checking and trying to manually re-run the install, I find the error message attached.
I went into the programs and features to confirm that EPM was uninstalled and found no EPM program installed.
The only suggestions I've seen so far on the forums is to perform a "clean uninstall" but there are no directions given for this.

We are having issues in accessing generated InfoCube HANA views on Analysis office.
We have marked Infocube to "External SAP HANA view for reporting" to access it as a data source in Analysis office.
But getting attached error while trying to insert Infocube in Analysis office workbook.
I have searched on SDN but didn't find any related information with Analysis office.
Please help if anyone have experienced similar kind of issue.

Here is the scenario
1) DS_1 - is a master data object (per say company code) based query which displays all the values that I am authorised - I have created a command button and used "SAPExecuteCommand", "RefreshData", "DS_1" to refresh and display the data. Works fine
2) DS_2 is a query which has a variable on company code. I created a combo box whose range is set to the data output of DS_1. When i select the drop down and choose a company code - i would need the value to be passed onto Company Code variable in DS_2, for this i have used the following
2.1) SAPExecuteCommand", "RefreshData" "ds_2"
2.2) ("SAPSetRefreshBehaviour", "Off")
2.3) ("SAPExecuteCommand", "PauseVariableSubmit", "On")
2.4) "SAPSetVariable"
2.5) PauseVariableSubmit", "Off
2.6) SAPSetRefreshBehaviour", "On
The above is kicking me out and throwing an unexplained error - have absolutely no idea what this is
I also used the Refreshbehavior on and off followed by pause variable submit etc.
Unfortunately, the issue still persists.
The requirement is
1) Refresh DS_1 on workbook_open
2) Refresh DS_2/3/4 by combo box change and pass the combo box value to Variables of DS_2/3/4
3) With the values that are displayed by refreshing DS_1/2/3/4 - I need to refresh another DS_5 (per say at the click of a command button)
How do I stop the error from appearing everytime.
Is there a rule where you can use Autorefresh = off/on once in the entire code?
Is there a rule where if you use Autorefresh, you cannot use the other refreshes?
Is there a rule where if you use any refresh in one place you could not use it any other refresh anywhere else?

AO 2.3 preventing other excel files to launch.
i mean when AO workbook is open ( with query from bw) . launching general excel files gives error
as , sorry cannot open the .xlsx file.

I'm trying to schedule the distribution of an Analysis Workbook via Email/Excel to users who do not have the Analysis tool installed. Everything works OK but I am unable to determine how to add an info field in such a scenario.
The formula
=SAPGetSourceInfo("DS_1", "LastDataUpdate")
is added to the workbook but it's not resolved without launching Analysis and refreshing the report, something we are trying to avoid.
Any thoughts from anyone?

Recently I have encountered some questions about the possibilities to have in Analysis for Office (2.2, 2.3) the "Calendar look" when using values like Calendar Day and not a list of values (drop down list). For example in BEx 7.x and 3.x we can simply select a date from a "calendar list" when speaking about days values.
Here the examples in BEx Analyser 7.x and in Analysis for Office 2.3:
There is any solutions to obtain the same prompt in Analysis?

I have installed the AFO 2.1 with EPM, after that I can able to use the AFO without any issue and while checking the EPM.
I am getting error in excel while opening the report from BPC platform but excel is working properly while opening the report thru excel add-in login.
Error reproduce:
1) login to BPC portal in IE
2) access some report in BPC and try to open it in excel
3) the below error appearing
Working way:
1) Open EPM in excel
2) login to BPC platform
3) navigate to report and open
4) the report is opening and can able to refresh it.
So please help me on this...
