I was told by our SAP Rep that the software is available for us to download. I did not bother asking him for a link and now I am lost. I see BO software (server and client). I don't think Analysis for Office would be bundled in the Client tools, would it? Where do I download our licensed copy of this software?

For the moment we have only few users which use Analysis for Excel because they have to enter their login & password.
We'd like to install Analysis for Excel for a larger population.
Do you know how to implement SSO in Analysis for Excel (as in BO Web) ?

Hello,
It appears that we can not create two crosstabs with a different layout (different filters, rows selection...) by using the same datasource (bex query in my case). Display options seem to be at datasource level.
Do you confirm that it is not possible to use a unique datasource for two different crosstabs. As a workaround, we inserted twice the same bex query but it is not our preferred solution...

Hi everyone,
we're looking for a possibility to open Analysis for Office Excel documents directly within SharePoint.
The BO Integration kit doesn't seem to support Analysis for Office documents.
Is it possible to use the Excel Services within SharePoint?
Is there any other way to open the Analysis document directly within SharePoint as this is possible for "standard" Excel-Documents?

Does anyone out there have SSO working on Analysis for Office 1,4 against HANA through BOBJ connections?
I have this scenario and we are configuring SSO between BOBJ and HANA with SAML but some notes in the SMP indicates this is not supported yet. Given that the note date from July 2013 I wanted to ask if any of you have made it work. I still don't see any updates on this from SAP.

I am using Excel 2010 and installed SAP BO Analysis_MS Office 1.3_32 bit. I am experienced some significant slow down of excel with the analysis add-in and getting error message as below.
"Excel experienced a serious problem with the 'analysis' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in? "
Anyone know the cause / solution to this problem?

Hello everybody,
this is actually two questions on Layouting and inserted Charts in Analysis Office. I'm working with an AO Version 1.4 SP 7.
Question 1.
I've edited a style set according to the user handbook, applied it to an analysis table (de-checked the "Apply efault formats" from the components ribbon and still it runs into the standard SAP Style set after refreshing - at least for those cells that haven't been selected for the style individuallly e.g if the Analysis Table turns out to be longer than previously, when I applied the style set (due to characteristic selections).
I'm looking for a way to apply a (self-defined) style set to the table, that stays the same after refreshing and takes into account the changes within the layout of the table.
Is this possible?
Question 2.
Is there an option to define the data of a dynamic chart created via analysis office based on a query table, the way that only two of four measures are displayed and the cahrt doesnt't change after refreshing the query?
Currently I'm using a workaround with a second data sheet holding the data referencing to the chart's data. But I'm sure there is a more sophisticated solution out there.
I'm thankful for comments and answers.
I am using the office plug in for SAP Business Objects and I having trouble getting pivot tables to update with new information from my Business Objects Query.
My pivot table data source is selcted as "crosstab" but the new data for June will not appear in my pivot table after I refresh it. Even though I can see the data in the query, it will not appear in my pivot table.
Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

Hi ,
Presetly we are using HANA as database to build reports in Analysis . The View has the dat format displayed as "MM.DD.YYYY" but in Analysis it shows up as DD.MM.YYYY.Is there a possibility to change the DATE format in Analysis accordingly for different countries?

I've managed to save the a workbook in the "general/public folder" of the BI Launch Pad among other BI reports (e.g Webi reports)
Now I'm trying to save a variant of the workbook where I'm pointing at the Favorite Folders.
No error mesages but I can't find the workbook.
Any ideas why this doesn't work ?

Being new to SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office have some queries on the same,
As tested we can now schedule the Analysis Workbook from BILaunchpad,however I do not see History Tab for after scheduling. Is this a limitation?
Also,I am able to see instances from Instance Manager but not every user will have access to Instance Manager to see instances.
Just wanted to ask is the History Tab a thing that will be added in future.

I'd like to know if it's possible to insert a text column betewen two columns. For example, I have a cross tab showing 2 dimentions, one of them the text is "e/3/r/123" which is the key for that member.
What I want to do is insert a column before that one and insert a formula to only show 123 and hide that one that shows the id, is it possible?

we are using the regular LogOn when refreshing an Analysis Workbook / datasource.
I am aware of the API of Analysis to silently ( no dialog) Login onto BW by providing the
iAppCall = Application.Run("SAPLogon", "DS_1", "MyClient", "MyUser", "MyPWD", "EN")
API call.
In 3tier environment we really need a LogOff functionality, that might allow us to have 3 buttons like:
LogOn DEV
LogOn QA
LogOn Prod
to verify and test query data without closing AO Excel anytime we change the system by just having a LogOff and relogOn via API & VBA
Does anyone know if there is a hidden feature ( @ Victor: maybe you have a hint 
)
If not I'll add it to the feature list of AO

Hello everybody
I have a question relating to Analysis for Office. If I've a workbook with for example two queries, how can I avoid that the query above the other one overlaps the query results of the lower query?
The lower query result should adapt according the the query results of the first query.
Does anybody have an idea? In Bex Analyzer I have the Option to insert a scrollbar for a workbook- is this function available in Analysis für Office? (But that way isn't the way I prefer).

I am seeing a pattern in our use of Analysis by our users.
As they create, edit, etc...the workbook gets slower and slower to open.
I have one that takes 10s of minutes to open when Analysis plugin is loaded vs. seconds when just Excel.
Digging around the interweb, I found a tool to scan the workbook for Styles. Turns out, all these workbooks have thousands of styles.
I purge them using this tool and all is well.
Seems to be a common issue with Excel, but our users in all their years of using Bex never had this problem, so now they see Analysis as having an issue Bex did not.
Is this a known issue in Analysis? Anyone else seen this? We are using 1.4.7.3073.

I'm using Analysis for Microsoft Excel (Virtual) tool. Due to the requirement we have enabled profiling in our tool. But i have observed that whenever I enable profiling I get exception and I cannot run the reports.
