Hello,
Is possible to suppress zero amounts in Analysis report?
Thanks,

Hello everyone,
I've got a question about the custom UI Ribbons in BOA for MS Office...
I read through this posting: http://scn.sap.com/message/13412892
and this documentation: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338202(v=office.12).aspx
...but still I don't find the right solution :-(
I edited the customUI.xml file so that it looks like this right now:
<mso:customUI xmlns:mso="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui" xmlns:AO="SBOP.AdvancedAnalysis.Addin.1">
<mso:ribbon>
<mso:qat>
<mso:documentControls>
<mso:control idQ="AO:com.sap.ip.bi.pioneer.core.command.refresh" visible="true"/>
<mso:control idQ="AO:com.sap.ip.bi.newpioneer.excel.display" visible="true"/>
<mso:control idQ="AO:com.sap.ip.bi.pioneer.core.command.togglePauseAutoRefresh" visible="true"/>
<mso:control idQ="AO:com.sap.ip.bi.newpioneer.excel.promptsmenu" visible="true"/>
<mso:control idQ="AO:com.sap.ip.bi.newpioneer.excel.settings.menu" visible="true"/>
<mso:control idQ="AO:com.sap.ip.bi.newpioneer.excel.settings.helpmenu" visible="true"/>
</mso:documentControls>
</mso:qat>
</mso:ribbon>
</mso:customUI>
I followed these steps:
1) Create New workbook
2) Options Quick Access Toolbar
3) Chose to modify "This Workbook" NOT "For all documents"
4) Add an analysis button
5) Save
... and basically everything was generated automatically, I just exchanged "doc:" to "AO:", and edited the first line.
The outcome looks like this... I find my buttons in the Quick Access Toolbar (blue), but not in the Analysis ribbon list (red)
In the posting mentioned above it looks like it works as desired... but it just doesn't do in my version.
Does anybody see the error or could provide a correct version of the .xml file?
Thank you very much,
Martin
When I save a workbook from Analysis for Office it appears in the document folder of the Launch Pad.
When I try to start the workbook later on from the Launch Pad Excel opens (Which is to be expected)
but a few seconds later the message window appears with the message:
"Could not find Fsqx51IlnwEANDgAAADn8PgAAAwpXi_K document in server."
If the message window is closed there comes up a second message:
"Failed to launch with specified file."
In the current edition of the error handbook the chapter for "Analysis for Office" is missing,
so a solution can not be found there.
Does anybody from you know this problem and is able to provide a solution?
Kind Regards
Bernd
Hi
Can we supress error flags in Analysis for Excel?
can we do it for a specific analysis or is it a global property which will be applicable for all analysis for excel reports?
Thanks

Hi,
I am new to Analysis for Office.
I have created a new cross tab and added a chart via the ribbon.
The members are not spitting across the bar chart rather just displaying under one bar. I also get an error message "Cannot calculate chart series. Hide the totals/expanded hierarchy nodes on the grid and try again (ID-108003)"
Any ideas what the problem is. I deactived the hierarchy, made sure totals are not displayed, swapped axis and still no joy.
Thanks,
Hi,
I'm using BO Analysis for Excel, by using a BEx query as a datasource.
I can see what we call in BI the Navigational Attributes that we defined in the BI, but I was wondering if we can see the Display Attributes as well from a specific characteristic.
Example: not all Attributes from the 0VENDOR (in BI) are to be considered Navigational Attributes. Fields like Address are not to be used to filter but only for display.
How can I see these Display Attributes ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all
I have build a small report in Analysis for Microsoft Excel. The basic idea was that I each month would receive a list of approx 1000 orders number which I would insert in the prompt and run the report
Unfortunately it seems that I manually have to pick the order numbers one by one. Alternatively I could use the range option, but in my case the numbers contains an element of randomness and therefore the range solution is not an option.
Here is my question
Is it correct that I can't paste a list of values into the selection field of the prompt (It works quite well in ECC)
Thanks in advance
Peter
We have a requirement to prevent end users from being able to create a query from SAP data from MSFT Analysis for Excel. These particular users will not be able to create reports, just view cubes/reports that have been created for them. Is this something that can be established with Access Level tweaking or will a macro need to be used?
Your advice/suggestions are appreciated.
Within the Analysis for Excel framework, can breaks be created (a al Webi) and in those breaks, can you create a count? I know this requirement may be a tad light, any insight would be helpful.
Is posible insert table for inputs for BPC and Query BW, all in same Workbook using Analysis for Excel 64Bits ? Thank you.
Hi,
We are migrating a couple of BEx Reports from BEx Analyser to Analysis Office.
Problem is the Size Limit issue.
With default size limit in Analysis Office, we get Error: "Maximum Size limit Exceeded".
To overcome this, when I increase the Result Set Size limit, we get Error: "System Out of Memory".
Both being Excel based tool and working on .Net framework, while the BEx Analyzer is capable of working with large result-set, we are not able to achieve the same with Analysis Office.
Any help is appreciated.
Best Regards,
Krishnendu Roy.
I have a user who uses the add-in SAP Business Objects
Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office. The add-in will not show up in
Excel although it’s enabled. He uses Office 2013 32 bit and Windows 8.1
64 bit OS. I’ve installed the 32 bit version of the add-in. The
version of the add-in is 1.4 sp4. Can you tell me if this is compatible
with Windows 8.1 64 bit with Office 2013 32 bit? It works fine with Win7
x64 and Office 2013 x32.
HI All,
We are converting Bex reports to Analysis edition for MS office. In one of the reports, we are facing an error while converting Bex to Analysis for Office, which has SUMGT function in Bex. Hence we have removed that function in Bex. Now, we need an alternate function for it to implement same function in Analysis for MS Office.
For eg: 'Actual'/SUMGT 'Output' -- in Bex.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ram
Hi,
In Analysis for Office we are using Cell Styles in order to format certain columns (to put certain keyfigures in a color)
However, when we remove one column via Excel and/or Analysis for Excel functionality, the Cell Styles are completely lost for all columns in the workbook.
Is this normal behaviour ? Can we avoid this ? Because this makes Cell Styles quite useless...
thanks in advance.
Dears,
I do have a Bex Query in my Workbook with a User prompt. I created a variant in the Excel Workbook on a set of company codes and saved it as "global". How could I transport in BW this global variant. Once i transport the workbook from development to production It does not transport the variable. Even if i transport all related objects in the Datawarehous Workbench - transport connection.
Thanks for your support.
Cheers,
Felix

hi all,
I just upgraded by SAP BO Analysis for MS Office v1.4 to SP5.
Unfortunately I cannot use the tool any more after that.
Once I log in into SAP BW system backend and I properly enter selection screen I got following error:
After that AO plugin is deactivated in Excel. Attached also see SAPAdvancedAnalysisXLS.log
Any idea how can I solve this issue? On SMP I see there is patch 1 for SP05 already in place:
1967040 - Analysis Office 1.4:Release Note for SP5 Patch 1
Do I need to install the patch? This would be least option form me as I;m in corporate environment where getting new patches takes time...
Thanks,
m./
Hi All,
Can you please guide me to understand if SSO is possible for SAP BO Analysis Office on SAP HANA.
I found this Note: 1846640
Which mentions that it is currently not supported .
But want to know if there are any latest developments around this and future roadmap for support of SAO BO Analysis Office Excel/OLAP SSO support on SAP HANA?
Awaiting your response.
