Prompt in A4E - "F4" on select option variable

Another functionality from BEx Analyzer i'm missing in Analysis for Excel is the following.

In the bex-query, the field user ("gebruiker") has a input-ready, non-mandatory, select-option variable on it.

When running it in BEx Analyzer, when you push the F4 (possble values) button, you get the list where you can transfer multiple values in one go:

When running it in Analysis for Office, the same action gives you a radio-button list, so you can only select one value, which reallyt frustrating from an end-user perspective!!

Frustratingly enough, when you execute the query, and move the obect to the filter area, you do have the option to filter via checkboxes instead of radio-buttons....

Is there a setting somewhere that allows us to change this behavior in the prompt? Maybe solved in the most recent version (we're on AO2.1SP3)?

Honestly, these are the kind of interface-development issues that makes me wonder if SAP will ever get it 'right' from a useability POV... I just can't understand that this product is tested, and the guy responsible for the GUI and useability, goes "this is perfect"...
